Structured Software Solutions, Inc. Forms FacetCorp

UniForum '96 (San Francisco, CA): Structured Software Solutions, Inc. (SSSI, Plano, TX.), has restructured into two separate operating companies, renaming the SSSI division responsible for all product development as FacetCorp. The products division has been developing UNIX productivity software since 1985, including the multi-award winning FacetTerm®. FacetTerm lets PC and character terminal users run up to ten UNIX applications at-a-time when connected to a UNIX host computer.

The SSSI services division, which provides contract engineering services throughout the Southwest, will become Structured Software Services Group (SSSG). Both companies will operate as wholly-owned subsidiaries reporting to the Structured Software Solutions, Inc. parent holding company.

"Renaming the products company as FacetCorp will more closely align the identity of the company with the products we offer," stated Jim Bryant, President of FacetCorp. "Each of our products has always carried the 'Facet' moniker in their names, which will continue with the release of a new product later this year. Now the company will benefit by being able to leverage the name identity created by products like FacetTerm. This will help us in all markets worldwide where the name recognition of our products is higher than that of our company."
